    The No. 1 feature phone manufacturer in the world, Transsion Holdings was born in Hong Kong in 2006.

    Our primary brand focus was on Tecno Mobile, a high-end & feature loaded mobile phone stationed in Hong Kong.

    As 2007 rolled in, so did our growth with the establishment of itel Mobile, the innovative hi-tech brand that looked at complete consumer satisfaction.

    Our first factory was established in Shenzhen, China.

  3. 2008

    In 2008, Africa became our primary market.

  4. 2009

    2009 saw our Yantian factory in Shenzhen, China operating in full swing.

    Our exclusive after-sales service brand Carlcare came into being with the singular objective of delighting our customers.

    Tecno was ranked as one of the top 3 mobile brands in Africa in 2010.

  6. 2011

    Tecno was proclaimed as the No.1 Dual SIM brand in Africa in 2011.

    Ethiopia became the centre to two more manufacturing capacities.

  7. 2012

    2012 saw the birth & rise of Infinix, our third mobile brand focused on online smartphones and tablets.

  8. 2013

    Tecno, itel & Infinix evolved to smartphones in 2013.

    Our most robust quality management system (QMS) became internationally certified. It was acknowledged for its dedication to ensure durability and excellence to our consumers.

  9. 2014

    In 2014, Tecno became the 15th and itel the 72nd most admired brand in Africa.

    With diversified goals, we were ranked no. 7 globally for mobile shipment.

    Our 5th factory came into operation at Huizhou.

    Oraimo, our premium mobile accessories brand, came into being.

  10. 2015

    itel grew exponentially with a landmark sales volume of 30 million handsets.

    Africa's biggest business magazine "African Business" declared itel as the 51st most admired brand in 2015, moving up 21 ranks from the last count.

    Created Syinix, a home appliances brand under its umbrella in 2015 to give our consumers more premium solutions.

  11. 2016

    - Started India operation in April, 2016

    - Sales volume of around 8 million handsets by December 2016

    - Total no. of employees- 720+

    - Currently launched 15 feature phones and 12 smartphones

    - Total no of distributors is more than 850+ and retailers are more than 62,000+ till date.

    - Total no of service centres opened till date is 740+

    - PAN India Presence in just 9 months

    Launched Tecno Mobile in India.

    Signs JV with Spice Mobility, an Indian Business conglomerate to revitalize the ‘Spice brand’ in India.

    Number 2 Brand

    Itel became number 2 brand with 9% market share and 217% growth
